Guess Shah Rukh’s first salary- Would You Believe If I Said Rs 50!
The King Khan of Bollywood is earning millions today. But it was just Rs 50 that he started with! This has been revealed by none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself, on his reality show ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?’ It is in the grand finale episode that Shah Rukh would reveal this incredible fact about himself. So what was this job that paid him a meager salary of Rs 50? The actor says that he used to sell tickets at theaters. This episode of the show would be aired on Friday. It would feature actresses Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh’s best buddy Karan Johar. Other than talking about his job, the actor would be sharing a couple of more interesting things. He would be heard speaking about his dream of visiting Taj Mahal and how he fulfilled this dream.
Though Shah Rukh has rightfully earned the title ‘King of Bollywood’, the actor is loved for his humble nature. He revealed the arrogant side of him too, like calling rival Aamir Khan "half actor". But then, looking at the immense stardom of Shah Rukh and his inner self, one can say the actor is rather modest and one of the most loved personalities of the country. And he will continue to be, as he is utmost frank about himself- as he proved again in grand finale of ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun?’
When Shah Rukh started his career in the early 90s, he was befriended by director Aziz Mirza. The two even stayed together when the actor came to Mumbai. The director revealed in an interview few years back, that Shah Rukh "is a natural" despite of being one of the most famous personalities in the world. He says, "Shah Rukh is a blessed child, but he has never taken anything for granted. He still works as hard, if not harder, than before. He is aware as a person and human being. His humility is his biggest asset. He still is modest. I don’t think he still understands why people like him." When asked what makes the actor such a down to earth person, Mirza feels that "it is his upbringing, his values and his struggle. He has not forgotten those days." In his starry lifestyle, he never forgets his fans. During Eid and on his birthday, he still waves out to his fans from his bungalow Mannat. Now that is a true King!
